headunit with usb, male/male headphone jack imput....

ok... ive got a 40 gig video player sitting here, im getting a new truck and it needs a headunit (it still has an am/fm radio) i want to be able to hook up both the usb hookup for charging (video player wont work through usb cord into headunit (checked with friends headunit when i borrowed his car) even when put into computer HD mode (shouldnt it read as a flash drive?) but it does work with a male to male ipod hookup (what comes with new vehicles as ive had it hooked into our 07 gmc 2500hd) im wanting a good quality deck able to take some offroad abuse (reason for the flash drive option, no more skipping discs....)

willing to spend 250-300cnd (so 275-325us LOL... just had to put it in...)

maybe run some subs in at a later date (might miss the sound of the dual 12's pounding in the back from my old ride) also need to look for some good 4x10" speakers and some 6 1/2" speakers for the rear.

what size sub should i run for a small suv? would 1 12" give enough or should i leave the 2 in the box and just mount it (takes up a good amount of space...) if i can get away with one id do so so im not having to pull the subs for work...
