01 ss fan stays on and my gauge doesn,t work

i changed the sending unit it still does not they say theres a control box, could that be it .and where would it be .

fixed , i just discounted the battery .now it all works

After the PCM determines that there could be a coolant temperature sending unit failure, it will not use the information it is sending. Usually a reset or clearing of codes will do it.

i had to change the thermostat ,now works good again
