setting the alarm on 1995 BMW 740IL

can anybody tell me how to set a stock alarm? its the one thats on the key

Can you elaborate a bit more?

Normal oporation is to simply push the lock button on your key fob. The alarm, as far as I'm aware, sets automatically as soon as you lock it and disables as soons as you unlock...either that it's when you doublelock but I can't remember if the E38's had the doublelock feature.

i bought the car and he replaced the batteries.....so the alarm is not programed......i need to program the remote to the car

thanx...the remote looks just like mine.....im going to try it tommorow....i tried it now and the alarm went off and batrtery died...but thanx.....i'll let u know tommorow if i got it
