Re: just curious

944 NA are around low to mid 16's
944 Turbos are high 13's to mid 14's

Re: just curious

Re: just curious

Easy win, don't even sweat it, if you are even a halfway descent driver you will have no problems beating it, those cars dont go under 16's, and with your mods you should have no problems touching high 15's

Re: just curious

how would a stock vr4 do against a lightly modded 944 turbo? (boost controller, exhaust, and a race clutch)

Re: just curious

Driver's race, 94 and up 3000GT had 2 extra lbs of boost stock, so yeah pretty much driver's race, but more than likely the 3KGT if its 94 newer.

Re: just curious

i think that would be close... i think i saw a nearly stock 944 turbo run either a 13.8 or 13.9 at the track, w/ a good driver... i think a stock vr4 is good for what, about a 13.7? so a modded 944 would prolly be a good run...

Re: just curious

Oh if your an atx, dont even waste your gas, the only way you'd have a chance with an atx is built tranny torque converter shift kit end clutch etc... if your mtx will be fairly easy race.

Re: just curious

coming from a person who owns both a 944 and stealth(tt) and has driven a 96 sl enuf. the turbo 944(951) would pobably beat the 3kgt sl...damn close. but if you're talking an 89 944 turbo s2 than the 3kgt sl stands no chance.

on a circut the 944 would likely win due to 2700lb curb weight and 50/50 weight distribution. on a 1/4 like i said sl vs 951 would b close vr4 vs 951 not so much...vr4 takes that.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=eb8Yq0HCj2w a video of 951 vs a 99 vr4
