2.0 Zetec Motor Swap into 1997 escort

umm i was wondering if anyone had any info about this swap, knowledge of this swap being done before/documentation so yea please help me out if u kno any thing thnx

If the 97 is a 2.0 SPI the Zetec won't bolt up to the tranny. I think the mounts are different on the 97. The computer on the 97 won't control the Zetec. I know the 97 SPI will go into 91-96 Escorts but have never heard of someone putting a 2.0 Zetec into a 97 SPI. I suppose it is possible. How much money and time do you want to spend.

well im willing to spend whatever i have to its just that i need a new motor and transmission so i wnted to get a better motor for performance and it seems that the zetec was my best bet im open to hear better ideas i dont kno to much about ford performance so any help is greatly appreciated
