alloy size

what is the biggest size rim i can get on my mk6 escort (without it looking stupid) with low profile tyres and a 30mm drop without too much extensive work...i dont mind popping the arches out a bit to give space for the wheels to slide under....

Any suggestions???

Re: alloy size

It would be difficult for us over in the states to answer your question. The Ford Escorts made here are a completely different automobile than what you have in the United Kingdom. Some of your own people do post occasionly here on the AF. Maybe they could help you. Anybody from UK?

Re: alloy size

i spoke to a friend last night and he said that one of his work collegues has 19"s with a 20mm drop and had to pop the arches out.....but i personally think that 19"s on an escort is a bit much.........i might just go 17" as i have 16" atm with no drop....but i cba with HUGE rims......it a bit OTT!
