Stuck key

My buddies 2001 Azteks ignition started screwin' up. When trying to turn off the vehicle the key will not turn all the way to the "off" position. The accessories stay on and the key will not come out. If you giggle the shift handle or throw it into park fiercely, every now and then the key comes out...

What gives?

Re: Stuck key

Remove enough of the console to access the shifter.. you will see a switch on the side. remove the connector and check for loose connections. If connections are good, you will most-likely needs a new shift lock switch.
