1992 Tercel, few questions..

I have a few questions for a brand new owner of a 1992 toyota tercel 4sp 2dr.
My back seat is currently mangled it seems, it needs to be secured to the car and it has a large rip at the top. Does anyone have experience on refurbishing and repairing fabric upholstery?
Also, my trunk has condensation on the sidewalls, with no insulation or anything. Is this normal? To prevent condensation would I have to put down a vapor barrier? Or some form of insulation? Where is the moisture coming from. Also noticed a vent of some sort on the left hand wheel well in the trunk and was wondering what it was used for..
