i listened closely today to my fuel pump . since its very loud and whiney ... after driving it for awhile i could hear it making a noise like it was fading in and out??? does this mean its on the way out ..

Young man, you should respect the advice from the moderator and the advisor, as they are volunteers giving their time here. You seem to be ignoring their advice as well as their questions to you.

It should be noted (again) that the fuel pressure is checked with the ignition on, engine off, fuel pump running. That's when you need to see 60-66 psi fuel pressure.

It also seems that with all the diagnostic advice being posted on this thread, you aren't trying any of it. You should try to focus on the diagnostics of it, not what it could or couldn't be.
