The compressor on my 96 Continental has stopped. Where exactly is it located so that I can check and or replace it.

I believe the 96 Conti has it's compressor behind the right headlamp. You can get a factory service manual for your 1996 from my web page. Hit my forum name, follow the popup to my web page.

BTW.. make sure the switch in the trunk wasn't accidentally shut off.
