automatic headlights

I was driving home from work when i noticed my lights were on so i turned them off and the display says headlamps suggested.... so im thinking there is something wrong with my automatic headlights... anyone have any ideas on the problem and cost of fixing it??

could be a problem with your sunlight sensor. NOt sure where its locate on a 2004, but make sure your dash is clean and that sunlight can reach it.

well, then price out a sensor. Is it easy to remove? It sounds like the sensor is faulty or the wiring too it. You might want to test the sensor with an ohmmeter in direct sunlight versus dark. See if the resistance changes. If it doesnt, replace the sensor. I will see if I can find you a wiring diagram in the morning. Too late to look now!
