Should I buy an Impala?
So I am in the process of buying a new car because the insurance company decided to total my 96 Chevy Blazer
and I was thinking about getting maybe a 2000 or so Impala. I've been doing some research before I jump and by anything and so far the impala seems reliable. Ive looked into the Malibu but it sounds like they have a lot more problems. I've read the common problems like the intake gaskets and brake problems but I would just like to know if there is anything else to look for when considering these cars. also it seems like the 3.8 is more reliable than the 3.4. those that seem to be true. Any other info you can share I'd really appreciate it. Thanks |

Re: Should I buy an Impala?
If you want an impala get one. I have 04LS i like it alot, i really like getting 35mpg on the highway. I have had bad luck with mine but it was all under the bumper to bumper warranty.

Re: Should I buy an Impala?
I'd buy one...wait, I did. It's a 2000 base model with the 3.8. I've had it 3 years, and it's been 100% reliable. Get the 3.8 for sure, it's almost as efficient as the 3.4 and way more reliable.
Drive the car first of course, maybe have a mechanic check it out for you. BTW, '97Ventureowner, umm, excuse me...umm that's my stapler...great sig! |
