1999 head unit installation

is there a way to install a head unit into a 1999 escort?
do they make a kit to convert the dash to allow one to fit?

Yes you can get a kit to convert the dash to allow one to fit. It contains all of the heating and air conditioning controls with the right size mod to make your head unit fit.

You're maybe well-practised at radio removal, but if not then forum member chevyn0va1 has an excellent photo-guide showing how to do the job on the '99 Escort. Link is on this thread:

This is the least expensive one that I've found. Hope it helps
