200o nissan 4x4 crew cab 4wd problems

i just bought this truck and im playing around with it, it wont shift into 4 low. it shifts into 4 hi fine, and the green light comes on, but it wont budge to go down into neutral or 4 low. its an automatic and i tried shift the transfer case in park, neutral and all drive gears, no luck, is there some trick or is this a problem

I assume you are operating the lever correctly? I don't mean to offend, but I haD the same issue with my 04, you have to pull the lever up while pulling back to go into 4-HI and push it down while pulling back to go into 4-LO. Like I said, I don't know if the 00 is the same. Just a thought.

Go from park, to drive, then into neutral. Push the lever down, then move it back into lo. Make sure the brake is pressed also.

amke sure the vic is running, in nutral with your foot on the brake, pull tcase lever down to 4H and then push down on the stick and pull the rest of the way to 4L and you shall recive.
If that dont work than your linkage under the body is bound up or dirty.
