02 tranny leak

My 02 with 156k burps up tranny fluid threw the dip stick tube when I cold start. I have changed the tranny filter and fluid. Any thoughts?

After changing the fluid and filter did you overfill it with fluid? It should be checked with the engine running in park. After checking it did you cycle the transmlission through reverse, low and drive? It doesn't do it when it is up to operating temperature? Since fluid expands as it warms up, it seems that if it was overfilled it would be more prevalent at that time.

I checked the level many times, it was coming out the dip stick tube before I changed the oil. Right now the oil level is low on the dip stick, my wife said it burp oil again when she was leaving work.
