Man I love my car

Hey guys. I've been gettin kinda tired of comin to this site every day and seeing posts like messin up your engine tryin to put in a v8, starter problems, "first major problem"'s, emissions problems and the like, and it was beginning to get me down. So, I just thought I'd post a thread real quick that's on more of an Up-beat. I absolutely love my 97 SL, its fun and clean, and boy am I ever happy!

spread the joy if u feel like it

Re: Man I love my car

Compared to my Eclipse and other previous cars, my 3000GT's been easier than hell to fix on my own. And even with a laggy A/T and no turbos, it still smokes the shit out High Schooler mommy/daddy-bought V6 Mustangs. It always gets a lot of attention at the late night parking lot modder meets, too. I'm glad I have it, even if it's not in tip-top shape, because it's one of my dream cars!

Re: Man I love my car

Best car I've owned guys. I love that most of the stock pats mitsu used arent cheap like on hondas and such. And the looks can go up against $80,000-$200,000 cars easily! which is amazing! and the best part is that they are pretty rare. so I dont see them like you do those damn mustangs! lol

Re: Man I love my car

yeah, mustangs are decent cars, not trying to disrespect, however, I hate that I see them non stop, there are just too many of them on the street, and for that reason I would never want to own one.

Yup. There are more V6 Mustangs alone made in one year than thre were all 3/s's in the entire production run.

Re: Man I love my car

my new apartment has a garage, and it was a torrential downpour, and it just gives me such a good feeling to know she's safe and dry.

but a few days ago, i ripped her down to san antonio...ran fantastic...but couldnt seem to hit more than 110 due to traffic. people need to stay home, damnit.

unfortunately im going into a meager time economically, being back at school, so for the next year its just gonna be general maintenence, no more mods. But on a good note, the vibs i was having with my driveshaft seem to be gone and my wheels are all balanced back up...so smooth sailing right up past 100mph!

on another note, havnt seen any other 3/s's since ive been down here...

man ur lucky, i have the only NICE 3/s in town. but theres one SOHC 3s thats in pretty bad condition, another old 1st gen that was in an accident and it still hasnt been painted back up yet. and about 10 stealths......... i still get more stares than any of my friends tho . always nice when u drive down the road with the windows open and u hear a pedestrian yell "hey theres that awsome car i saw the other day" (true story).
