04 Grand Prix HUD issue

The Electronic HUD speedometer (that shows up on the windshield) suddenly is just out of my view. I use the arrows to move it up or down and it will not move. Does anyone have any ideas before I call the dealership? Thanks

Re: 04 Grand Prix HUD issue

Check the connection at the switch, if that checks out, you'll probably have to have the dealer look into it.

Re: 04 Grand Prix HUD issue

I had this problem, but was able to fix it. The problem with my HUD was broken plastic in the HUD that was holding the adjusting spring. I was only able to see the HUD between the dash and upper portion of the steering wheel. I was able to take the dash apart, remove the HUD, drill a new hole for the spring, and replace the hud in a few hours.
If you look in the front left of the HUD from outside of the car, you can see the spring. Wiggle the car and see if the spring moves.
