95 monte carlo tranny help

i have a 95 monte carlo and its bucking really bad, i have ran the codes and did the checks and it leads me to the shift solenoids, my only problem is i am a mechanic but i have never worked on a trans, could someone tell me what is needed to do to change the shift solenoids, can i just drop the pan or do i need to remove the whole thing

You can get to the solenoids by droping the pan.

Just to clarify, you cannot get to the electronics(solonoids) by dropping the pan. The electronics are located on the side of the transmission, side cover. To get to the electronics, you have to pull the side cover(driver side). Its a little bit of work, as you have to pull the axle, drop the carriage on the diver side and pull the cover off.
