Keyless entry
Anyone out there that can tell me how to program a keyless entry for a "98 Camry LE. I was given an extra one and would like to be able to use it.

if it's a stock keyless entry...
you're going to have to take it to the dealer or find someone that has the dealer codes and program so they can set the frequency. my dealership did it for free and it only took about 1 minute. see if yours will be so nice. if not, kiss some butt-

Programming Keyless Entry
Hi! I have a 98 XLE and to program my keyless entry you have to pop out the button for the outside mirror control. Behind there is what looks like a small grid. If you taking a paperclip and put it in the #2 slot and the #10 slot with the keys NOT in the ignition, your vehicles locks will engage. When they do, press any button on the key fob and the vehicle will unlock. That's it. You'll need to do both remotes because this method reprograms the remotes completely. My local dealership wanted $75 for this and told me they had to hook it up to a computer. Hope this helps!
