Powersteering, Exhaust Manifold '82

Wuts up, just to let you know I've learned some cool stuff on here so thanks for the info guys.

Alright, I bought my '82 monte for $800. Almost everything is brand new, my uncle had bought it with a cracked cylinder head but he put a new one in. Well now I have the car and have to hook up the power steering and exhaust manifold and something else but I don't remember, plus I don't have the keys yet and should be getting them tomorrow so I can start working on it.

Well my question is do you have any advice towards installing these parts, I have limited (and I mean LIMITED!) experience in working with cars. So if you guys could explain things or give me some steps that would be great, otherwise I'm going to search for more information on google or something.

One more of my questions, kind of off topic, but how much could I get for an 82 monte? just asking because I can't remember if my uncle said $1500 or $15000, but 15000 seems a bit much for the car.

Thanks for your input

When installing the exhaust manifolds, make sure you align the gaskets with the manifold and put each bolt in but do not tighten all the way. Tighten them down equally similar to how you'd do the lug nuts on a tire. Make sure the power steering and alternator are aligned properly so when you install the accessory belt it will go freely through the pulleys and have the proper tension.

I'd say more like $1500, but the car would have to be in real good shape even for that price, seeing as the car is 25 years old. It also depends in which part of the country you live in. I live in NY where there aren't many Montes of that genre left so the price may be a bit higher. In the South or West the price may be lower as they are probably more plentiful.(I don't think these cars even went for $15000 new for that year.)
