1997 PA Quandry help please

Very simply:

On the drivers, engine side of the radiator, at the bottom, a wiring harness comes down in front of a unit that might be either part of the ABS system(I think) or maybe the airbag system. A terminal sticking out the front of this unit wore through the harness and shorted out a couple (red) wires. I repaired this and also found that a fuse (a 30amp for ABS, I think it was) had blown, which I replaced.

Since then more often than not, The service engine light is on along the ABS and traction control lights. The traction control will not work. Also the kickdown switch for the transmission does not work either. Also my mileage has gone in the toilet. from 30-30+ to around 20. And also it has started to use oil since this occurred.

Once in a great while the ABS and traction lights will go off on start up and the traction will then work. The service engine light will stay on.
Otherwise the car starts & "runs" fine.

Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated, I need to get this running correctly.runaround

Get both the abs and the pcm scanned for codes, first step in attempting any repair.
