On a '99 Escalade, do I need to remove the tank, or is there an access panel for the fuel pump? Thanks.

Fuel tank removal is necessary to replace the fuel pump.

Only if you use a reciprocating saw.

i had to remove a fuel pump like 8 times u have to remove some of the exhaust in order to get the tank to drop and make sure you use a jack to lower the tank as fuel is heavy. u will also have to move and manipulate some of the fuel lines that run to the engine while doing the lowering. make sure you release the hose to the filler cap also from underneath, easy clamp but pain in a$$ if you start lowering and bend or possible crease or crack the rubber.
