Is this a Bentley?

Does anyone know what model Bentley this is? And if it's even a Bentley at all?

It's been bothering me for a while now and I can't find any information based on what's given. I know it says Bentley 3 liter, 3/8 special, etc. but I haven't been able to find any others like it.

Not to mention, I can't read German

I would say it started as a 3 liter Bentley, maybe with a standard body on it, (hence the longer wheelbase the sedans had, versus the shortwheelbase of the sport/racing models). It may have been a rescued derelict that was given a 'racing body'. This was a popular thing to do in the 50s and early 60s. A friend of mine used to race his 3 liter against such cars in the vintage races held at Southampton L.L. in that time frame. His main advantage was that his original sport model had better gearing for the track.
