Air intake
I have a 91 Escort GT, with the 1.8L DOHC. My stock intake has a hole in it, so I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on aftermarket intakes. Thanks.

Re: Air intake
How big of a hole? Have you tried patching it?

Re: Air intake
So it is just the hose you are after? I am not aware of any special aftermarket parts, but if I were you I would just hit the nearest boneyard and pick one up for next to nothing.
It's a 91 'scort... there isn't much that any aftermarkey piece of rubber is going to do for it anyway :P |

. It's fine though, if you guys don't have any suggestions on an aftermarket one I will probably just go with the Weapon-R one. Thanks for the help mightymoose_22.

Re: Air intake
The 1.8 that has a dual overhead camshaft will definately run more ponies with the CAI. You've already got a pretty hot Escort. You'll really feel the difference when you put your foot into it. Besides, you'll get a filter that can be cleaned and reused instead of spending $15 at the parts place. Go for it!

$49.95 plus $18 shipping. It is as good as the weapon or K&N for half of what they cost. . |
