how does the brake handle come off??? HELP!
Hey all, I'm working on my project (again) and I am still trying to get at the heater core by removing the dash etc.
The brake handle needs to be removed in order to release the plate under the steering column. Does it screw off or what? I have put about as much pressure as I dare to try to unscrew it and nothing. If I don't know for sure I might snap it and that would be a bad thing... :O Screw off? Pop off? what? How do I remove it? Thanks! |

Have you purchased a Haynes or Chilton's repair manual yet?
If not, do so.

I figured it out. It is like the brakes on a bicycle. I had to take off the slack and then drop the cable end out from the holding lever.

I didnt need to undo the steering or brake handle to get to the heater cores on my 91 and 93. There are 2 dash bolt on the far end of each that had to come out and a bunch of smaller ones on the front underside. Easier to get out then get back in, have fun and gl.

I'm sittin' here with Chilton's S-series on my lap, and I don't see it. Maybe you'd be so kind as to tell what page it's on??? |
