Power steering pump--slowwww 99'
When the engine is cold, the power steering is slow to move and hard to steer, but once the engine is warm (3 miles or more), it works fine.
It only happens when the engine is first started, the rest of the day even after being parked for 8 hours, the steering is fine. My alignment is good also, tires are properly inflated, etc.
It is the original steering pump (187K mi. for a 99'), there's no leaks. I have also sucked out the old fluid and replaced with MOPAR's twice, but still get the same early results.
I've actually had this problem for over a year or more, knowing one day the pump will go out on me, but just wanted to know if there's something else going on?
