97 Wrangler...What type coolant PLEASE?

I am replacing the radiator tomorrow. I don't have the manual. I found it should hold aprox 9 quarts coolant but what type should I use? I see its green in color...does it really matter? I whould hate to find out the water pump or heater core went because I switched to a WRONG type coolant. This is a 4 cyclinder, manual, no air, 1997....Tanx!

you need GREEN coolant. there are many types, all work as long as they are green. if the coolant you get is orange, then you have the wrong type and should never mix them, unless you want to buy ANOTHER rad. the orange kind is dexcool, and NOT what you want. the green stuff lasts a while longer in my opinion, and you are better off buying syraight antifreeze and mixing in the water for the fify fifty mixture yourself, rather than buying the already mixed. i've seen it happen before that a body puts in the fifty/fifty store bought, then it over heats and they put in straight water and the winter comes around and they freeze the rad hoses.
