Help Ride Is About Dead!!!!

Ok guys heres the deal. my car is completely raping my mind. i have a complete miss in my motor. i dont know where its comming from * the source* ive changed plugs, plug wires, pcv valve, and changed coil packs. also have made completely sure the wires are in the right firing order. STILL DOES THE SAME SHIT. when you crank it its got an extreamly rough idle. upon motion and goin threw the powerband it spits spudders and just dosent have that OMPH it used to. NOTE: it wasnt doing this the other day it started about 3 days ago.

Note2: i caught some rain on the way home from my gf house. it didnt really do anything different im positive i dont have hydrolock and i know for a fact that i didnt hit anything. just some water that was in the middle of the road. nothing out of the ordinary.

as stated earlier im completely baffled about what the hell is goin on. i really doubt its the fuel pump, fuel filter, or anything fuel related. the gas shouldnt have water in it *or much*. ive been using the same gas staion since ive bought the car. and havent had any problems untill now.

if anyone can suggest some options as to trouble shooting this problem it would be a great help.

thanks in advance.

Justin

I know you already said you don't think it's fuel related...but
I had a problem with clogged injectors and a clogged fuel filter. It didn't idle smoothly, and when going down the road, it would jerk intermittently. I thought it was a miss also and changed the plugs and wires before I changed the fuel filter($12), and that helped. So I took it to the shop and they cleaned the injectors adn they said there was a lot of trash in there.

No problems since then

good luck

ok update on the sitation. Fuel Filter is changed. and i changed the injectors about a month ago. i didnt get rebuilt ones i bought brand new ones so i know they were good. they actually helped out alot. i noticed quite an increase in power when i changed them. that was about 3 weeks or so before this started happening. again i hope i didnt drop a cylinder. i went racing the next day after changing my injectors. which i prob shouldnt have done. but the races were at hand and i had rolled around the day i changed them along with all the way to the races. a good 100 miles before racing. so i know i broke in those O rings pretty well before hard use. also im going either later today or early tommorrow morning to my shop and have it put on a computer. maybe its a sensor.

also for the guy who needed more info. my car is a 1992 VL, 2.2L, Man. tranny. with 150,000 miles on it. but it was still running strong long before this happened. i dont race it offten and i dont really rag on it much. i try to keep 93 octane in it. and try to keep the oil records up todate.

Just got back from the shop. its not looking good guys. seems that i have a blown head gasket. and ive been riding around on this for a while. so i may or maynot be able to salvage that head. im hoping that all its gonna take is to be shaved, surfaced, and balanced, along with replacing the gasket. which ive already got an estimate on and its at 400 or more. NOT GOOD yall. so Project "Turboelier" is on hold for a goood while.
