WIP: Suzuki Hayabusa

This will be a mostly box-stock build of the Tamiya kit. I do have the Crazy Modeller etch set for it, but it seems that most of the pieces are for the X-1. So for this one, I'm using the metal transfers and the brake rotors from the CM set. I tried to use the chain. Key word there being "tried".
Didn't work out so well, so the kit chain will do.

The frame and engine assembly are almost done. Just need the exhaust and rear fender bits along with the front forks.

The front wheel assembly with the CM rotor. The CM set is great in that they give you painting templates for the rotors, which work incredibly well.

The body work was painted in custom colors. I recently saw a Hayabusa at our local weekly bike gathering that the owner had paint in similar colors. I liked it, so I used it for my build. Tamiya TS sprays were used for the pearl white and silver scheme. They just need clear and a polishing.

Thanks for looking

Looking good so far.Very clean work and I like the colours you have used for the bodywork. You're right about that Crazy Modeler chain assembly.I had the same set for mine and I tried to use the chain but just gave up on it in the end.
