Nissan Pulsar GTi-r

I have been looking at them for awhile now and I am wondering why I can find them for so cheap. I can't see why they would be, they are AWD and have SR20det engine. I am wondering if a should pick up one I've been looking at for a while. 1990 Pulsar GTi-r 70,00kms $7500 cnd. Its also right hand drive and I called up my insurance and they quoted me at only $312 a month full coverage (I am only 20 thats why its soo much).

So is there a downside to these cars?

Re: Nissan Pulsar GTi-r

if you are buying the car straight from japan then the downside is its unseen and can have problems unknown to you. also these cars were never produced in north america and therefore repair shops usually dont have the parts for repairs. On the other hand the sr20det is one of the most tuned engines right now and alot of aftermarket parts are easy to get. i have had a few pulsars and they are a great car to drive.
