revell 1/24 trucks and trailers

hi guys,

Today, at my local hobby store, I saw a Mercedes truck with a trailer. I know it's made by Revell, and the model is Actros something. here's a link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Revell-Germa...QQcmdZViewItem

What i saw, was this truck, but it was also towing a white AMG/Warsteiner trailer. It was placed high on the shelves so I didn't bother climbing to look at it, thinking that I can find more info on it at home on the internet. But no luck. It was $140US and I was just wondering if anyone else knows what i'm talking about and who might carry this?

Gary

Yep, I know what your talking about, most hobby shops should sell these or some other model trucks. There's a whole new world out there that's into building model trucks, plenty of Yahoo sites dedicated to them as well.
This one is into building the European trucks like the Mercedes.

Just remember, that it is a lot harder to make model trucks, than it is to make model cars, there's lots more bits in them bigger boxes!

I wouldn't say it's harder to make model trucks... it's just more work! I've once made a Italeri western star and I loved it. 140$ may seem a lot, but you'll have a verry big model with loads of parts. I don't know about the quality of the revell kits, but I think they are rather good. There is a lot of aftermarkets item available to.

140$ !? You didn´t want to buy the whole Shop, did you told them?
Would be even cheaper to buy one here and send you.

Take this for example: http://cgi.ebay.ca/

Some reviews:
Mercedes Actros
Italerie Actros and Revell Actros are the same kit

Racing trailer
The trailer in this kit is the same as in the version you´ve seen.
They´re both in German, but at least you have an impression which parts are included.

One of the best truck-modeling pages: www.gb-scaletrucks.de/eng

Here you will find some more truck-kits

http://www.nimpex.de/Truck

and even more here:

If you need help with translating or shipping, tell me. opcorn:
