Escort GTs from 1991 to 1996 are 1.8l Mazda engines. All the others, plain or LXs are 1.9l.

If you have the means to keep it, you might make more if you part it out yourself and get rid of the rest later... put some of the most useful parts on an online auction site and then just wait a little while. Or advertise... I think there is a forum on this site for parts too.
