Passat help
My brother owns a 1999 Passat GLS with a 1.8T with a 5 speed automatic. I am looking for something to buy him for his car. I'd like to get him something with so good performance upgrades, yet is not expensive to purchase. Thanks

this cars is not cheap for performance. but you can get a chip for a round 400.00 Xtreme 1.8T Turbo Intake Hose for around 299.99. thie chip is your best bet u will get around 40-50 crank hp and around 50-80 tq

If you want a present for your brother, buy him something for the body rather than engine. The engine is desined to be as it is, besides everything is expensive for VWs. Engines are tuned to work as they are, not too many adjustments are good.
