'87 GL-10 Questions

I just bought a nice GL-10. It's only got 47,000 miles on it, and much of the engine has been been rebuilt with new parts because it was sitting in a garage for a long time. It drives great, but it handles really poorly - sluggish steering and awful cornering. I want to turn this thing into a monster sleeper car, and I'm not sure where to start. The only thing wrong with it is the air suspension - a hose is ripped. I could replace it, but I would much rather redo the whole suspension so the thing handles like it's on rails! But yeah, mainly I want to mod the suspension, beef up the brakes, get wider tires and rims, and do what I can to get as much horsepower out of the engine as possible! Are there any resources out there as far as websites, or people that have modded the GL-10? Can anyone help me out? Thanks a lot!

Peace and Love!

Matt!
