Socket size for brake guide pins

I can't find what size and kind of socket the guide pin on my brake calipers take. This is my only vehicle so I can't take them off and then go to the store and get the right size.

All help is appreciated.

Socket Size.

The socket size should be a 3/8 Hex. You will have to clean the inside hex of the bolt with a screw driver and possibly tap the hex key into the bolt.

Re: Socket size for brake guide pins

On my 2001 Grand Caravan I had to use a #7 hex socket.
