Question Help a newbie out

i have a 1971 4 brl clevland i am trying to put into a 1968 500 XL i need an automatic transmission that will bolt up and work i prefer a C-6 but have not found what i need. does any one know what will bolt up to the Clevland. It came out of a 71 Mustang and had a four speed with it but i do not want to convert the car to manual i would like to find an auto tranny.

try looking for an f m x the bell housing unbolts and will fit just about anything

Thanks for the advice: i have decided to go with a 1996 two wheel drive pick up C6 a guy on the ford barn told me he used a 1990 in his falcon so far everything has matched up i am waiting on the fly wheel to come in i ordered.
