Fujimi Mercedes-Benz 190E DTM Kits

Hello all,
I see that in addition to the BMW M3 kit, Fujimi has also re-released the M-B 190 DTM kits. Does anyone know what these are like? I know that Fujimi has a bit of an unsvoury reputation for borderline misleading modellers by packaging street versions as race cars with only very minimal parts and a decal sheet added. In the absence of an update kit from S27 as for the BMW, is there any hope with a bit of scratchbuilding, kitbashing, etc., or is this model best avoided?
BTW, I know that the S27 M3 P/E sheet does have some add-ons for the 190E, but no t-kit has been announced yet.
Thanks in advance.
Michael

It´s a.. medium good kit..? The fitmenst isn´t very good etc.

I think you mean the C-class kits though and I don´t know about them..

Re: Fujimi Mercedes-Benz 190E DTM Kits

The Fujimi 190E DTM kits have excellent bodyshells. The chassis and interiors however are very basic and are only really good as basekits for superdetail. Their liveries are unfortunately inaccurate most of the times though .

Don't bother with the C-Class kits as the bodies are inaccurate and they share the same interiors as the 190 kits! Tamiya's are more superior by far (if you can get hold of them)!

Thanks Rickard and 'smoke',
I am indeed referring to the 190's (W201 chassis), as I was very fortunate to have been able to purchase all 3 Tamiya C-Class DTM's (W202) on e-bay earlier this year for $60.00, I believe (decals were in great shape)! I will have to start one soon...
Rickard, it appears that you confirmed what 'smoke' said about the interior. A lot of scratchbuiding was needed apparently. I will probably pick one up anyway and have a go, or hopefully, S27 may release a conversion kit as they will do for the BMW.
Again, many thanks, and if anyone out there has any more tips/pics/dimensions and templates for their Fujimi 190 kits, please do share...

I am hoping that Studio 27 will produce a conversion kit for the 190, as their upgrade p/e for the BMW M3 does have parts for the Merc:
