Might get a 300zx...

I might get a 1990-1994 300ZX as my first car soon, and I was wondering how much power the regular has compared to the twin turbo, because my dad is hesitant to let me have the twin turbo. How powerful is the regular in other words?

You would be looking at a pretty big power difference.

BTW: Nice to see you here man.

Thanks poly . How would it run compared to a '94 Mustang non-GT? I might be able to convince my dad to let me get the twin turbo... but he doesn't think it's a good idea, I'd be racing every chance I'd get and I'd prolly kill myself lol

He will let you have a Mustang GT but not a Fairlady Z TT? There isn't much difference there. Personally I would take a Fairlady over a Mustang anyday of the week, better handling, better looks, better engine.

IIRC Normally Aspirated 300ZX has around 220 or 230HP, the TT version a (listed) 280HP. I have only driven a TT (which is awesome), so I can't say how the N/A goes - 230HP sounds like a fair bit, but on the other hand the 300ZX is no lightweight.

I'd recommend a test drive.

90-94 TT Z32's have 300HP...not 280HP...the only model that had 280HP is the 96 model since they took off the variable valve timing and de-tuned it.

The Z32 NA's had 222HP which was good for a 15 flat quarter mile and 0-60mph in 7 seconds flat

The TT's did the quarter in 14 flat and 0-60 in 5.5 seconds.

So the difference is there...but it's not saying that the NA's dont respond well to mods...since I own an NA Z and it has responded quite well to mods.

Oh and he said a NON GT Mustang...
