Thumbs down They messed up my truck ... now what?

I had my oil changed on 10/18/02 on my 2001 ford explorer at a local repair shop. I noticed yesterday (11/10/02) that they never replaced the oil cap. I brought this to their attention this morning and they are cleaning up the car right now. Are there any long term affects I should be worried about?

The only possibility is that some dirt or debris might contaminate the engine ( and that is a long shot )
If it were mine, I would demand that they change the oil and filter
and replace the cap, just to be on the safe side.

That's funny! I did that years ago when working at a shop to a Ford Tempo. The owners didn't think it was funny though.

Yeah, my friend who went 4 wheeling after that happened to him didn't find it funny when he had to replace his motor either.
