Biggest a$$hole you ever tried to race??

I think so far mine was last night... I was up at the mall around 11 (local import/ some domestic hangout spot) when I pulled up to a nice looking stingray, I said nice car and asked if he wanted to run... His reply was "I don't want to waste my time with that little fbody." I personally thought my 99 ls1 trans am would be a pretty good race for him even though I should pull ahead unless his is pretty tuned. Well he took off infront of me and seeing how it was a 1-way strip to the exit where I was headed I followed about 10 feet behind. I drove maybe half a block and am almost at the exit when the dude stops, JUMPS out of his car and runs over to mine screaming " IF you don't get the F!@# off my tail I F@#$ing kill you, you stupid F!@#$!!!" I was so shocked at his reaction that I was just like "whatever man... bye" I wished afterwards that I would have got out of the car because that sort of disrespect is just ridiculous. Oh well, just felt like venting... no one should be that much of a prick just cause they drive a cool car...

What a dick... was his car very fast? IMO, Trans Ams are just as good as a Stingray... I would actually take a WS6 over a Stingray 'Vette

The biggest dick I ever raced was a guy in a Supra Turbo (MKIII), the only reason I say that is because he kicked my ass :P We raced from light to light 2 or 3 times in a row, and he tore me everytime... I think he had an upgraded turbo tho, I could hear it spooling up and it was really really loud...

I also had 3 people in my car compared to 2 in his (and one of the guys in my car was kinda a "fatty" :P) *shrugs*

Ya, he may have been an ass about not wanting to race, and over reacted. But you can't fault him for not wanting to race. Just b/c someone says no, doesn't mean you should follow him and try to coax him into a race, sorry but this seems kinda your fault for following him, he may have thought you were going to/were harassing him.

On the subject, i have never really go to people to race, i just come up next to them on the street and it happens. The only times i got bad reactions were: i beat a 5.0 stang kinda bad even with him getting a few car lengths and the jump...i was gonna give him a thumbs up and see if he wanted to talk, but he just drove by with a pissed off look. The other time was a C5 and i hit it at the same speed, with me about 1/2 length in front of him, and he BARELY pulled on me (strange b/c he should be putting down like 40hp more than me at the time), he just ignored my attempt at the good ole "thumbs up" and drove by staring strait ahead.

Racing is fun when people don't take it as life and death, if you get beat, who cares, chill with the guy that beat you be cool about it. If you win, don't be a prick, he might beat you next time.

well in a way it can be life or death, but to me that just means more a reason to smile and have fun. I got beat...BAD on a freeway race *which shocked me* by a moded 1999 T/A, I was just lovin it for how it just picked up and took off at 120 like it was going 40. When I met up with him at the races *where everyone brings cars...but noone really races* he gave me a thumbs up and laughed etc, it was great. But only asshole who I raced was a friend, I took him and he said he beat me. To this day if I bring it up with a group, he tryes to tell me off usually ending it with "SHUT UP!...i'll leave your ass here and drive away, you can walk back!" (hes even said this at my house)

Same here, I rarely try to invoke a race. Just about everyone has been brought on by the other person. I like racing, but why get all pissed about it? Get over it, mod your car, come back and try to kick my ass. I have told a story about a guy handing me my ass, and I do mean REALLY BAD, and he was in a 1970 Challenger RT/SE. I found him later and we chatted, he had a damn fine ride. If I get beat I only get mad at myself, unless the other guy has to be a jackass one way or another.

As for biggest asshole; I was once sitting at this light here in town and right next to me is this Ford Thunderbird, like a 95 or so. It had the V8 and he was revving at me. I look over and it is this guy that has to be in his upper 30s. I throw a rev back and bring up my RPMs. The lights turn green and were off. I beat him to the next light by about 4-5 car lengths. At the light the guys rolls down his window, first thing he does is yells at me to turn that shit off. I mute it and say who the hell do you think you are dickhead? He then replies saying, you'd better watch you ass around town cause I'll be looking for you and I'll give your ass a ticket you little punk. Turns out this asshole is an off duty traffic cop. I said well don't be a damn hypocrite or anything, and don't be pissed at me cause' you can't race and lost. I then said, so what, who cares if your a cop, I have other ways of getting around besides driving through here, get over it. I then drove off. It was kind of strange; he did have a badge and a gun in his car. I don't know if he was lying or telling the truth but I wanted to bust him in the damn mouth. I have driven through town since then and I have had a few times where a cop has ridden my ass through town, just waiting for me to make some mistake. I don't know if it was him, I couldn't really see his face.

Asshole.

LOL @ polygons cop...

And -cy-, I agree, rarely do I try to initiate races. Infact very few cars in my town will even try to run me. What pissed me off was his arrogant attitude about my car, if he just said "no" I wouldn't have been mad, or if I was in a ricer civic then his response would have been called for... but a ls1?? And secondly I was wasn't tail gating him, I just happened to be going the same direction he was :-)

Justin- I know it wasn't completely your fault, and i'm sure any normal person wouldn't have reacted to you like that, but this guy was a dick. This guy wasn't being arrogant, this guy just didn't wanna get beat by an F-body. It seems a lot of people with nicer cars don't want to run LS1 f-bodies, b/c they know they may get beat by a car costing MUCH less than theirs.

very true. It's either that, or the other way around.

yea well i raced somewhat of an asshole today....
i'm driving home from work...not even intending to race......and i pull up to a light.....Nice ass Acura pulls beside me.....he's got a real hot girl in his car too..so i put down the window and i'm like..nice car.......
then he says to me.....
Yea i know.....can't say the same for your piece of shit! and revs his engine.......shit like that pisses me off.....i mean...my Bonneville isn't the best car or anything....but if someone gives you a compliment...you don't disrespect their ride...
So at this point i'm pissed and i through some revs back....light goes green......i nail it!
he nails it...
he got off really good..and i got a tiny bit of tire spin....we were pretty much even until about 50km/h......but then my revs were high..and see ya later asshole! Get thrown into the seat...and i leave Mr. Acura in the distance........guess his woman wasn't too impressed
lol..
