On 4-door sedans or SUV a rear door child lock is standard. When the lock is set, the rear seat passenger whether child or adult can NOT get out after an accident that may incapacitate the driver or other front-seat passenger. My question is: Does ANY 4-door car or SUV AUTOMATICALLY unlock the rear seat CHILD LOCK when or after an accident occurs. After visiting www.ChildKiller.com, my wife does not want us to buy a NEW car without this safety feature (i.e., to automatically UNLOCK the child-lock on the rear door after an accident). We often use the child lock feature, not only for children, but also to "safely confine" my elderly father who is senile and apt to open the rear door while the car is moving. Do you know of any make or model of car or SUV that offers this automatic unlocking feature (desribed in the website)?? While many cars offer the automatic unlocking of the central locking system (the regular door lock) upon collision, I have a gut feeling that someone must ALSO offer UNLOCKING THE CHILD LOCK at the same time. Your HELP on this question will be kindly appreciated.

Re: Rear Door Child Lock Safety
Too bad the website did not go one step further and list any vehicles that undo the child lock, that way they could do a better job at informing it's readers of the possible options to vehicles that offer it.
