2001 Dodge Quadcab stuck in drive

My 2001 Dodge Dakota Quadcab is stuck in drive. Started the day after a trip to the dealers to get CEL and oil change. After a few choice words (kids not around) and several minutes of wiggling it around - it will go into drive. Was not able to take truck on a recent vacation for fear of getting stuck! Any quick fixes, or am I repair shop bound? Local guy fix, or dealer only?

I would take it back to the dealer and find out what they did.

Thanks folks!

The dealer replaced a vacuum hose, changed oil! Not sure of any codes!

What's even weirder, after posting the original note, I went out to take another look at it, and it's working fine! Guess I'll get it back to the local dealer! Thanks for your help
