Mustang Mach1; ever a kit made?
I am not really "Mustang guy", but I just started noticing this car, and would really like to build one. I`ve been searching ebay and google, and havent seen any kits of this car come up, except the hideous AMT version. I remember a while back Revell made a white "CJ" kit that was similar to this, but I`m not sure if it was a Mach1. Does anyone know if a decent kit of this car was ever made?
Thanks ![]() |

Re: Mustang Mach1; ever a kit made?
Revell makes/made one that aside from a nearly fatal flaw of an incorrectly shaped nose that really looks sad, is a pretty decent kit based on the 69 Shelby GT500. Here's a recent thread that goes into detail about the various '69 kits, scroll down to my post #6 to get details:

Re: Mustang Mach1; ever a kit made?
Doyusha made one in 1:12 scale. They show up on EBay every now and again, usually in the $50 to $75 range.
Can't attest to their accuracy, but in general, the Doyusha big scale kits are of very good quality.

Re: Mustang Mach1; ever a kit made?
I'm unsure of the accuracy, but AMT also built a 69 Mach 1
![]() And although it's not a 1969 (or Mach 1) I was always a fan of the '70 Boss 429 which is very similar. ![]()
