I can not say much on many of the comments you have made. I do not have the time to experence your frustrations.

I will say this though, your question regarding the shipping fee is a legitimate AF question. It required modelling insight and experience. I will add the question was straight forward and not offensive in any way. Fact:You received 4 answers/opinions that gave you a little peice of mind.

How does this question not "involve AF", Drunken Monkey, AF Moderator???

Looking through this thread, it's almost exactly split into thirds between you being "cornered," helpful comments, and you freaking out.

Chill, dude. Really. When you meet resistance like this on a forum, ignore it. You'll only make it worse by writing a 3,000 word exposition on why you're brilliant and everyone else is an ass.

I'm going to agree with both sides. I agree with all the things people said regarding Steve and his stellar track record, that he will no doubt fix the error, how you could have troubleshot this problem yourself, and that it was probably a simple tabulating error. The only thing I'll have to add is perhaps you're not using US dollars; I often find glitches (or human error) that switches between currencies or something. Who knows?

But I will also agree that it really seems like your trying to stir up some shit. It was obviously a simple error somewhere in Hiroboy's code; not that you had any malicious intent, but you sure did present it in a way that could be construed as such. I think most people consider coming to AF with a complaint about a vendor to be the last resort, to be a way to appeal to the group to find information on a deadbeat, or coming to the group to warn the rest away from a bad businessperson. I think most people here (myself included) would expect you to try to handle this situation with the vendor first before coming here. While I appreciate your genuine motives, the fact that you didn't give Steve a chance to respond, to fix the error, before crying about it here, is a little petulant.

In any case, you really need to settle down, not take your detractors to heart, and get back to building. You do nothing but validate them by getting so upset by it all.

I don't write this to attack you, or jump your case, or "corner" you, but instead to give you some insight into what's going on. Never is everyone going to agree with you, especially on a forum, even one as benign as AF, and sometimes peoples' reaction require a cooler head than you're presenting. If you're frustrated with the infighting on AF, on a forum anywhere, maybe you should be as proactive at affecting change as you expect everyone else to be. I noticed you referred to another thread you started that had similar results - maybe if everyone tells you have you have a tail, you should turn around and check just in case. Maybe it's not solely a function of all of AF's eagerness to "corner" you. Maybe, just maybe, you corner yourself.
