Steering Gear leaking ; effect of the prblem ?

Thanks in advance for any help.
On the 1st chickup(1000 mile) of my SLE 4X4 Yukon 07, the technician found oil leak from the Steering Gear.
I do not know what is effect of the prblem on a new car ?
Is it simple or it will complicated ?
Is it easy to be repaired ?
Thanks again.

Welcome to AF. Have you asked the service dept this question, how could we know the particulars?

Thanks max
I would like to see the experiece of the members around.
The service dept has no more information apart from replacing the Steering Gear within two weeks due to that leak. I'm concerned about the effect of the Steering Gear on the whole steering system. Then, is the replacement part supposed to serve for long time ?
Thanks again for any contribution.
