New kid here.
![]() Anyway, I have a 98 Rodeo v6 AT, and almost every time I gun it from the light, Halfway though first gear, my car kicks really hard ![]() Any help would be greatly appreciated. ![]() EDITS from my post on PlanetIsuzoo: Ok I'll see if I can get a video of it because we are taking the camera out tonight, but it would be nice if I didn't have to upload it, so I'll try and describe it more. Lets say I step on it, and a few seconds in, I get a pretty strong jolt of force and my ABS light clicks on. It might be enough to start a burnout, even though I am already in motion, and its a pretty strong kick forward. If that doesn't happen, then I get a smooth ride forward, but if it does happen, everyone around me wonders why the hell my car did that. Im sure video/audio well explain better than I can. I also didn't ever check for a difference in RPMs, but it feels like that might also be something to look at, but its so strange that I just don't know what to look for. EDIT: My friend pointed out something that made me look into this a bit more, but it happens less if I were to just slam down the gas. Apparently if I smoothly press it to the floor, I get the kick. Very odd to me. EDIT: Wow, another thing I just found. The car sort of stutters before it kicks, and I can feel it coming. If I let off the gas before the kick, the car stutters, but doesnt kick, then I can continue to haul ass. Last edited by OMalley; 08-16-2007 at 03:37 PM. |
