99 Malibu horn/airbag issue
When I try to toot my 99 Malibu horn it seldom works. Sometimes if I rotate the steering wheel back and forth and then push the horn, it will work. (But I can't do that while driving). My mechanic told me that GM sells a replacement package that consists of the horn contact ring AND the wiring and sensors for both airbags. It's pricy. Since money is an issue, is it worth my while to look for just the horn contacts at a wrecker?

Re: 99 Malibu horn/airbag issue
The GM dealer thinks I may need a multi-function switch, which controls the turn sugnals, headlamp, horn, (and other stuff which I didn't write down), and is located under the steering column. Cost: CDN$181.25. Why does it have to be so complicated and pricy?
