Electrical Problem

A couple days ago I was messing with my fogs to get them to work independent of the high beams. Got it working fine. Then I was still bored so I continued on to get the fogs to work with the parking lights. Now my low beams, highbeams, fogs, or parking lights dont work at all! I checked all the fuses in the box under the dash and the box in the engine bay on passenger's side with a test light, and all fuses are fine. Bulbs are also fine. Somebody enlighten me please!

edit- forgot to say that my voltage is unusually high now. Before it would be at about 13-14, now it stays at about 15.5

Re: Electrical Problem

hmmm, sounds to me like youve just screwed up a connection, double check all of those and make sure that the wires are connected to the right ones. When soemthing goes bad with the lighting system on these cars the whole thing goes down.. anslo, check the bulbs, sounds weird but once i had bumped a buld and it was grounding out or something causing none of my lights to work... very strange lol.

EDIT: I also, would like to know how your wiring the fogs to work with the parking lights!

Re: Electrical Problem

Well I must have just connected a wrong wire because everything was working fine until I start messing with the wiring for the fogs. Me and my neighbor believe I gave ground to a power wire in the tail relay, causing a fuse to blow or a short somewhere, but we have no idea where. So we need the wiring diagrams to figure it out.

-Once I fix it I will let you guys know how I did it.

But for now, somebody please get me those diagrams

Re: Electrical Problem

best thing to do to find the problem would be to back track
until you find the problem, step by step

Re: Electrical Problem

i can get you the circuit diagrams. first i need to know the 1) YEAR of your car and 2) does it have stock alarm system?

honestly, the best thing would be to get a service manual on CD. PM me your address and i'll mail you a copy for future use. but i'll still email you the circuit diagrams.

Re: Electrical Problem

hot3000, PM me your address and i'll send you one as well. you don't need an owner's manual. its worthless and just tells you how to turn the car on and what all the buttons do, nothing a monkey can't figure out.
