High Temp Paint
I bought this high temp paint a little while ago and it should be alright for brake calipers too right? It says up to 1500 degrees on it. Also, would it be alright for the header as well? For the calipers should I do some light sanding or just clean the surface dirt off? Thanks.

Alright for the high temp piant on the headers it should work unless u have a huge tubo setup ( some of them get so hot u can see them glowing red in the dark) but if not is will work perfact, same for the calipers. As for the actuall painting goes ( for both the headers and calipers)Clean the sufance of all dirt,grease, grime ect. Start sanding it with a 120 grit paper, then on to a 320 grit . Then clean it with rubbing alchohal to remove all the dirt ect. Then paint(u dont really need to prime it seeing as its calipers but u can if u want to) every 1 says to start with a light coat and work your way up to a thicker coat scew that it takes to long( unless your not used to painting) i just lay meduim to thick layers on right away but becarefull not to run the paint, and i usually do that till i can see myself in the paint that way i dont need to sand it to get it smooth. Ive painted alot of things like this including the front end of my car and it comes out as smooth as glass evertime. As for the header do the same thing, although if you do boost or if you have a turbo now the paint might crack(very slim chance unless it a big turbo set up) in that case u can get a cast iron turbo manifold which will keep more of the heat in than anything else) Good luck and take your time patience is key.
