3.7L 2WD Quad Cab Gas Mileage

Just curious what gas mileage everyone is getting on their 2WD 3.7L V6 Quad Cabs. How does it compare to the "built in" trip compurter? Is your mileage mainly highway, city or combined? I am just starting to keep track so I don't have an accurate mpg yet. Will a K&N air filter help with the mpg's?

Thanks,
Mark

I don't have the quad cab which shouldn't make too much difference but I get 17 when I'm easy on it...

Re: 3.7L 2WD Quad Cab Gas Mileage

Andydg, thanks for your reply. Is your driving mainly city?

It's too early for me to tell but I got about 20 to 20.5 mpg the first two times I refuelled. The overhead shows about 18.5 to 19 mpg. I thought I saw 20/29mpg (city/hwy) on a window sticker of a new 3.7L Quad at a dealership. When checking on the dodge dealer listings they show 16 to 22 mpg under the vehicle details.

Has anyone tried a K&N air filter and what were your results? Any other fuel saving tips like installing a tonneau cover, or driving with the tailgate down?

Thanks,
Mark
